There was a lot of changes in CrazyScan/BLScan software since my last post. I think most people already know that, but I must to update an info here too.

StreamReaderEx-BDA 1.0.6.635

  • Optimized tuner control for STV090X cut3.0. It would be better RFScan speed on Omicom S2 card with this chips (STV0900AAC/STV0903BAC) (upto 30%, but anyway RFScan speed would be 2 times slower than on demod chips cut2.0, STV0900AAB/STV0903BAB). There is also a possibility of faster RFScan speed on TBS6925 V2.
  • Added experimental support for TT S2-3200 (STB6100/STB0899 and LNBP21). There is full support of RF,IQScan, imitation support of BLScan (it is necessary to describe real SR of transponder as "MinSR" value). After OS boot (after driver's start) but before start CrazyScan on S2-3200 it is necessary to start any DVB software working with TT S2-3200 and tune to any transponder (so demod chip will be fully initialized, and streamreader will work properly).
  • Added option to change possible intermediate frequencies for scan - see options IFStart, IFStop in config file. 950-2150 Mhz by default (can be set < 950 MHz and > 2150 MHz).
  • Debug RFScan mode - instead of rationed levels in dBm there given initial values of 'AGC Gain' registry. This debug mode is for RF-level scale calibration on different DVB cards with modulator help. See an option RFScan in config (0 activates debug mode; by default 1 - usual mode, values in dbm).
  • Added DirecTV(DSS) transponders blindscan support for all supported cards on STV090x demod.
  • Disabled restricted support of inside-driver BlindScan TBS.

BLScan 1.0.0.630

  • Fixed bug with incorrect MinSR value message.
  • Fixed bug in diseqc 1.0 control for multiswitches in the case of single-band LNB.

CrazyScan 1.0.0.635

  • Dialog fixes.
  • IQScan point size now stored in options.
  • Disabled zoom before spectrum analyzer start.
  • Added support for debug mode in StreamReaderEx - change of IF freq range and debug RFScan mode. Options from streamreader.ini used in CrazyScan too.
  • Added option to write stream into .ts file while streaming after successful BlindScan.
  • Traffic counter now revamps even if there isn't TCP-connection with client. Traffic counter brightly lights when connection is active.

For streaming DSS-stream and other specific non transport DVB-S2 streams (Generic continous, usual with IP traffic) it is necessary to disable PID-filtration in streamreader (option NoPidFilter=1 in StreamReader.ini).

To receive DSS-stream in TSReader 2.4.86+ use fixed TCP source dll. By preliminary tests TBS6925 and Prof 7301/8000 can pass DSS-stream through mediabridge (bus controller). On devices with SAA7146 bridge this can be impossible, because packets will be complemented with trash to 188 bytes (in DSS one packet of stream is 131 bytes).

P.S. SDK and samples sources updated.

The following builds are for testing purposes. Need testing. Please post your positive or negative results for software improvement.

StreamReaderEx-BDA 1.0.6.674

  • BandStacked LNB support. LOFSW=22000 and LOF1 for V/R polarization, LOF2 - for H/L
  • Full support of TBS8910/Prof6200/TeVii S420 with STB6000/STV0288. BL, RF, IQScan supported.
  • Minor fixes for STB6100/STB0899 (TT S2-3200)
  • Detect proper modcode for S2-transponder with many dummy PL.
  • Restricted support for TT Connect USB2.0 S2-3600,3650 (STB6100/STB0899). Not tested !
  • Fixed detection BDA extension type for TBS QBox'es (59x0). Need testing !
  • Removed not useful warning messages from log.

BLScan 1.0.0.665

  • BandStacked LNB support. LOFSW=22000 and LOF1 for V/R polarization, LOF2 - for H/L

CrazyScan 1.0.0.667

  • BandStacked LNB support.
  • Minor fixes in BL&IQScan dialog.
  • Improved checking of LNB parameters.

And we have a good news from other programmers. The last ProgDVB v6.70.3 have support of hardware blindscan on Omicom S2 and Prof7500 cards. Special Omicom with STV0900AAC also supports multistreams in ProgDVB now (tested on 12.5W 12718,h,36510).
It is necessary to use special device modules by CrazyCat, you can download them from modules and plugins page.

As I know DSS used in America only.
STB0899 supports DSS too, but it haven't DVB/DSS autodetection as on STV090x demods. So driver supports only DVB streams.
There is only blindscan detection of DSS streams on Omicom S2 and TT S2-1600 cards, the driver doesn't allow pass DSS stream (131 bytes) through sAA7146 mediabridge, which switched to DVB streams (188 bytes). This could be possible only after driver modifying, but if we haven't DSS streams, nobody interested in it.

I have tested the software with S2 3600 and it works , if you first launch another BDA application like dvbviewer. If you launch crazyscan first, then it does not recognize anything and draws a line.

Thanks for testing, Terranus!
The same on TT S2-3200, and the same should be on TT S2-3650 CI card (not tested yet). When you start DVB software first, demod become full initialized and ready to communicate with CrazyScan software. Crazycat haven't full STV0899 demod info, so initializing of the chip should be done this long way by user.

The constellation function works too, if you choose a symbolrate higher than 10000. If lower, it crashes after a minute or so.

It only locks on a signal, if you enter the correct symbolrate, but then it works fine.

I added a scan I did of the Astra 1N satellite testing.
